While the core focus will be on these key subjects, the program is flexible and may incorporate other curricular areas, allowing students to explore and strengthen their knowledge across different disciplines. Curriculum 6th-8th Grade

MATH

The 6th-grade math curriculum focuses on building a strong foundation in key mathematical concepts. The goal is to develop problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and a deeper understanding of how math applies to real-life situations.

The 7th-grade math curriculum expands on previous concepts and introduces more complex topics. Students deepen their understanding of rational numbers, working with positive and negative fractions, decimals, and integers, and performing operations with them. They explore proportional relationships, solving problems involving ratios, rates, and proportions. The curriculum also focuses on algebraic thinking, where students simplify and evaluate expressions and solve one-step and two-step equations. In geometry, they learn to calculate the area, surface area, and volume of 2D and 3D shapes, while also studying angles and geometric relationships. Students also analyze data, calculate mean, median, and mode, and begin exploring basic probability. Additionally, they learn to solve problems involving percentages, including real-world applications like discounts and interest. Overall, the 7th-grade math curriculum builds problem-solving skills, laying a strong foundation for higher-level math.

RELIGION
