Drive totals and impact
Students, staff, and families at Butte Central Grade School came together to gather 2,243 non-perishable food items to support the Thompson Family Food Drive and the Butte Emergency Food Bank. This effort contributes to a much larger community-wide drive that helps keep local food bank shelves stocked through the winter months.

Class winners

Within the junior high, homeroom 7-2, taught by Miss Rosin, earned top honors by collecting 93 items, leading the way in the upper grades. In the elementary, the first-grade class took the crown with an outstanding 587 items, setting the pace for the rest of the school and demonstrating remarkable enthusiasm for helping others.

Why it matters
The Thompson Family Food Drive has grown into one of Butte’s most important annual efforts to fight hunger, involving schools, businesses, and volunteers from across the community. By participating so strongly, Butte Central students not only provide tangible support for families in need but also learn lifelong lessons about service, compassion, and community leadership.
