Butte Central Football: End‑of‑Year Honors

The Butte Central Maroons closed out the 2025 season with pride and determination, earning recognition across the board for their efforts on the field. This year wasn’t just about wins and losses—it was about resilience, leadership, and a return to playoff football.

Eight Maroons Earn Postseason Recognition

Eight players received postseason honors in the competitive Southwestern A conference. That number reflects not only individual talent but also the team’s collective strength. Each honoree contributed to a season defined by discipline, teamwork, and heart.

Ryan Peoples Leads the Way

Senior quarterback Ryan Peoples capped off his career with All‑State honors at quarterback and a First‑Team All‑Conference selection. Peoples threw for 1,705 yards and 19 touchdowns, while adding 132 rushing yards and two more scores. His leadership and poise under pressure set the tone for the Maroons’ offense and inspired teammates throughout the season.

Return to the Playoffs

The Maroons earned their first Class A playoff berth since 2019, a milestone that underscores the program’s growth and determination. Reaching the postseason was a testament to the players’ commitment and the coaching staff’s guidance, proving that Butte Central football is once again a contender in Montana.

Honors Across the Roster

Recognition extended beyond the quarterback position, with linemen, defensive backs, and skill players all earning all‑conference nods. These honors highlight the team’s balance and depth, showing that success came from contributions in every phase of the game.

Tradition and Momentum

Butte Central’s resurgence this fall connects to a proud tradition that includes ten Montana state football championships—won in 1942, 1945, 1952, 1969, 1971, 1972, 1973, 1974, 1981, and 1985. This year’s honors and playoff return echo that legacy while building momentum for the future.

Looking Ahead

End‑of‑year awards are more than recognition; they are a promise of what’s to come. With eight honorees and an All‑State quarterback leading the way, the Maroons have laid a strong foundation for the seasons ahead. The community can take pride in knowing that Butte Central football is thriving once again.
