Holmes Leads Dominant Maroon Effort as Butte Central Shines at Havre Invite

Butte Central wrestling opened the season in impressive fashion at the Havre Invitational, with every Maroon on the roster finding success and momentum to build on. The strong individual finishes across the lineup showed that this group is ready to compete with anyone in the state right out of the gate.

Podium performances

Leading the way was Jack Holmes, who captured a championship and set the tone for the season with a first-place finish. His performance anchors the lineup and gives the team a reliable hammer at his weight.

Right behind him, Jace Rauch battled his way to a second-place finish, showing he is ready to be in the mix with the best in his bracket. Adding to the medal haul, both Jampel Hanley and Brekyn Armstrong brought home third-place finishes, giving the Maroons crucial depth and balance through the middle of the roster.

Depth across the lineup

The success did not stop there, as Kohler Sparks earned a fourth-place finish and Braydon Armstrong added a fifth, rounding out a strong day of scoring and placing for Butte Central. Those results reflect not only individual talent, but also the work put in during the preseason in the room.

What makes the Havre performance even more exciting is that the Maroons were not yet at full strength. Several wrestlers were sidelined due to illness, injury, and other circumstances, and their return will only raise the ceiling for this squad.

With a statement tournament already in the books, attention now turns to Thursday, December 11, when Butte Central hosts its home event at the MAC. The team is eager to compete in front of friends, family, and the Butte Central community, this time with a fuller lineup ready to take the mat together.
